Actress Lee Ha-nee is pregnant with her first child, her agency Saram Entertainment confirmed, Sunday.

The news comes less than a month after she tied the knot in late December.

"Lee has entered her fourth month of pregnancy and is expected to give birth around June," the agency's official statement read. "We hope you can send your warmest congratulations and blessings to the actress and her baby in the months to come."

The couple, who met through a mutual acquaintance at the beginning of last year, got married on Dec. 21 in a small family ceremony held in Seoul. Lee's husband is two years older than her and does not work in the entertainment industry.

The 38-year-old was crowned as Miss Korea in 2006 and earned third place in the Miss Universe contest the following year. She subsequently made her debut on both the small and silver screen, starring in a number of popular shows and films including "Pasta" (2010), "The Fiery Priest" (2019) and "Extreme Job" (2019).

Her most recent performance in the comedy series "One the Woman," where she played the dual role of corrupt prosecutor Cho Yeon-joo and wealthy heiress Kang Mi-na, won both critical and public acclaim. The show reached its highest rating of 17.9 percent during its final episode and brought her the Top Excellence Award for an Actress in a Miniseries Romance/Comedy Drama at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards.
